FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I’ve never been tattooed before, where do I start?

Hello and welcome! We would love to be involved in helping you get your first tattoo!

Step 1: Message or email us with your idea. If you don’t know which artist is the best match for your piece, we’ll help decide for you.

Step 2: Attend a (free) consult with your artist in our studio, or discuss via email/messenger.

Step 3: Pay your deposit and book in the appointment.

Step 4: Get inked!

How much does a tattoo cost?

The price depends on the size/position of the tattoo, as well as the artist who is working on it. We have both senior and apprentice rates, as well as full day rates. Emailing or messaging on social media is the best way to get an accurate price. We offer free consults, in which you can sit down to discuss the positioning and design of the piece with your artist. Deposits must be paid before an appointment can be booked in. These range from $50-$200 and come off the total price of the tattoo.

How can I pay?

Deposits and sessions can be paid in cash, EFTPOS, or online. We also offer renewable gift cards that you can top up and save.

Do you do cover-ups?

Yes! We are happy to create something new to cover up the old. We will require clear photos of the old tattoo, and a consultation to see it for ourselves and work with you on the new design.

Covering scars: Our artists have experience working with areas of scarred skin, and understand that it can be a sensitive topic to discuss. Please contact us with any concerns or queries you have about covering these areas, and we will be happy to help.

Is there anything you won’t tattoo?

There are certain styles that our artists don’t cover such as tribal and mandala.

Head/face, neck and finger tattoos are a general no, but under specific circumstances an artist may be willing to discuss working on a piece for these locations.

Absolutely no hate symbols, or representations of any hate group will be discussed.

Is there anyone you won’t tattoo?

  • Anyone under the age of 18, no exceptions. Everyone attending a session must be able to provide photo ID.

  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Anyone under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

  • Disrespectful or rude people who refuse to respect our artists and other patrons.

  • At any point we can refuse the right to tattoo someone breaching these rules.

How should I prepare for my tattoo on the day?

Before you arrive, feel free to shave the area you are being tattooed in. If you can’t, we can do so in the studio.

Make sure you eat a decent meal beforehand, so that your body has plenty of energy.

DO NOT take any kind of pain relief that thins your blood, eg Ibuprofen. If you are on a regular dose of blood thinners, please let your artist know.

Bring a bottle of water with you to the appointment. Sugary snacks are also recommended.

We have a fridge and microwave that we are happy for you to use if you bring your own lunch too!

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

We ask that you do not bring friends along to your appointment, however if you feel that you will need support to help get you through the day, then it can be discussed with your artist. Remember you will not be the only people in the space, and we want to be mindful of all the patrons and artists who are also working.

If a guest is permitted to your session, please ensure they are respectful of the space and give your artist room to work. Just as we reserve the right to decline any tattoo/client, we also reserve the right to request your company leave the studio should they act in a way that interferes with your artists workflow.
